Meshawn Burks has been a recreational therapist for five years. She has extensive experience working in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings with schools aged- to adolescents and the adult population. She is completing her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Radford University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist.
Nyesha is from Rocky Mount, VA. She loves what she does and does what she loves! Becoming an RBT has become the highlight of her days knowing that learning, playing, and growing these little minds (including her own) is incorporated effortlessly! A couple of things Nyesha enjoys are sunflowers, evening times/sunsets, reading books that are part of a series, and thinking she needs a new cup when she enters a store.
Rachael is a fun mix of Southerner and Yankee. She was born and raised in Richmond, VA until early adolescence when she moved to Concord, NH. She recently moved back to Virginia in 2022 to be closer to family and reconnect with her Virginia roots. She holds a BA in Psychology and loves helping people. For years she has worked in the mental health field, but recently felt like she needed to take a break to try something new. Outside of work she loves spending time with her fiancé, her family, her cats, and the horses across the street from her home. Her favorite colors are purple and black, and she is a sucker for a great horror flick.
Rebecca Ledingham, LCSW provides psychological consultation services and outpatient therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs. She has 31 years of experience in this field and also holds a certification as a Clinical Specialist for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Vannah is a Lynchburg, VA native and has been in the field of behavior analysis for over 13 years. She holds a Master of Education degree in Special Education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA (GO Wahoos!). Vannah’s experience in the field of ABA has taken many forms including behavior technician, graduate student, special education teacher, and behavior analyst. She is most passionate about helping make meaningful and socially significant changes through play-based learning to improve quality of life. As a former teacher, she also loves to learn, especially alongside other goal-driven professionals. She is dedicated to mentoring RBTs and students of behavior analysis for her own leadership development and for the overall growth of the field of ABA. When she is not working, you can find her trail running through the Blue Ridge Mountains and watching her two boys (Brock and Tuck) play football, basketball and baseball.
